We are excited to announce the 2027 Theatre Works Artist Advisory Panel, who will be working alongside our team to shape and program next year’s season. These brilliant artists will bring different practices, perspectives and experiences to our process. We can't wait to gather with them to discuss, debate and dream big!
Marieke Hardy
"As the digital broligarchs do their best to wrest community and human art from our hands, it’s more essential than ever to create a space for live theatre to thrive. I’m giddy to work with the formidable TheatreWorks team and excited to break open the catharsis of lived experience and storytelling."
Marieke Hardy is a curator, screenwriter, playwright, artist and producer. She has penned columns for The Age, The Drum and Frankie magazine, and written for numerous television shows. Marieke’s ABC comedy series, Laid, was the winner of several awards and adapted for the US market. Her smash hit adaptation of Dario Fo’s No Pay? No Way! premiered at the Sydney Opera House in 2020 and went on to tour the UK and her MTC production, Losing Face, recently debuted to packed houses. She was co-curator of international literary salon Women of Letters and was a regular panelist on the ABC's Book Club for 11 years. She is a recipient of the 2015 Sidney Myer Fellowship and currently co-curates the spoken word event Better Off Said.
Tahlee Fereday
"I am excited to take charge and have a say in the Melbourne theatre landscape. I feel blessed to be able to discover new artists and stories."
Tahlee Fereday is a graduate of the Victorian College of the Arts. Her theatre credits include Blacklight, Because the Night and Blackie Blackie Brown (Malthouse Theatre); Bernhardt/Hamlet, Astroman, Cybec Electric and First Stage (Melbourne Theatre Company); Alternative Futures (Theatre Works); Love (Dee & Cornelius); and Fallen (She Said Theatre).
Her screen work includes Penny Lane Is Dead, Jones Family Christmas and Blue Canaries, as well as television appearances in Erotic Stories, Fisk (Season 2) and Superwog (Season 2).
As a First Nations and queer artist, Tahlee is a passionate advocate for the representation of minority voices on Australia’s main stages and screens.

Darius Kedros
"Theatre Works has always been a special creative home for me as a sound designer and composer. I’m incredibly honoured to join Krystalla’s fantastic team. I can’t wait to see how we can connect with new audiences and champion artists sharing socially and culturally important stories."
Darius is an award-winning sound designer, composer, and music producer dedicated to transformative, immersive storytelling. Originally from the UK, he began his career as a recording artist before moving to Australia in 2013. Today, he runs Sonic State Design and The Garden Recording Studios in Melbourne.
Darius’s body of work spans theatre, screen, XR/VR, installations, and audio fiction. His major theatre credits include Mother and The Lark (Arts Centre Melbourne), Apologia (Malthouse Theatre), and Touching the Void (Melbourne Theatre Company). Internationally, he has composed and designed for the UK’s Rambert Dance Company, the chart-topping podcast Starship Q Star, and the United Nations-backed VR series Ecosphere. This cross-disciplinary expertise allows him to blend cinematic scope with theatrical intimacy, crafting audio worlds that support and transform storytelling.
