VENUE

Face the ugly. Find the beautiful.
Under the audience's microscope on a petri dish, a group of seven organisms undergo prodding, pulling and tearing by a presence unknown and unseen. Dynamic and explosive, what will they dredge up about the world around them and will they be recognizable by the end?
Led by an ensemble of boundary breaking artists, DREDGE merges natural and human made systems, shaping this raw and visceral physical theatre experience. Movement, embellished verbatim text, evocative sound and ambitious lighting converge in a meditation that defies convention. A full-bodied dialogue discussing the systems of nature, patriarchy and consumerism, and how they are ever self-perpetuating. What is our role in these systems?
Developed by Femmural with support from The Anchor Theatre Company, DREDGE sets to examine a world that continuously takes, and questions whether we can learn from our natural world’s balanced reciprocity.
Dredge has been developed through the support of The National Drama School - a proud sponsor of this production.
