Theatre Works and Dan Graham and Oliver Ross Present

Closet Drama

by Dan Graham and Oliver Ross

CANCELLED

"Would you have me false to my nature? Rather say I play the man I am"

Anon can't find the words for his relationship with gender, sexuality, and masculinity, and he's not ready to make his own.

Using patch-worked Shakespeare, he explores and road tests his identity as a gay trans man, moving from his living room to the coasts of Illyria and Ancient Rome.

Drawing from TWELTH NIGHT, CORIOLANUS and the broader Shakespeare canon, CLOSET DRAMA is part queer reading, part dating sim, inspired by the process of adaptation and the balancing act of visibility and privacy.
