These rehearsal photos are electric — you can feel the comedic tension already building. The title has been living rent-free in my head since I first read it. Curious to check how long ago Theatre Works first announced this show, because the anticipation has felt like forever. Definitely one of the most memorable productions of the season.
The premise here is delightfully chaotic — inheritance, marriage deadlines, and a lineup of questionable dates. It's giving very much "plan everything or lose everything" energy. If the protagonist had used Planning Birthday to organize her social calendar, maybe she'd have this whole situation sorted by intermission. Brilliant concept for a production.
What a title — it practically tells the whole story before the curtain even rises. The rehearsal shots already show so much energy and chemistry between the cast. With a deadline like "by the end of the year" baked right into the premise, I'd honestly run a Full Screen Countdown Timer on stage just to keep the pressure alive. Can't wait to see how Theatre Works brings this one to life.
