SENIOR LEADERSHIP ROLE
EOIs CLOSE MID-FEBRUARY 2026
Theatre Works is entering an important new chapter.
With Executive Director Dianne Toulson set to step down in 2026, the Theatre Works Board is now seeking new executive leadership with the confidence and experience to steward this complex organisation into its next chapter.
The incoming leadership will provide operational and financial stability within a vibrant ecosystem that allows theatre artists to flourish. The job requires management acumen and a creative spirit.
While Theatre Works enters this transition from a position of organisational strength, the broader arts funding environment for the arts remains challenging and uncertain. The Board is therefore seeking leadership that brings a clear-eyed understanding of contemporary funding volatility, income diversification, partnership-driven models, and responsible long-term planning.
The Board is open to thoughtful evolution in how Theatre Works is led – where such approaches strengthen sustainability, accountability, and organisational health.

VIMH Project design pathway eoi
EOIs open until 27 FEBRUARY 2026
As part of the upcoming series of THINKING GROUND workshops, The Voice in My Hands are taking Expressions of Interest for their VIMH Project Design Pathway.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING TO SUPPORT?
In exchange for attending THINKING GROUND, we are inviting interested participants to get in touch with us about a 'public interest' project you are keen on getting support for throughout the year.

- Project development: blue sky dreaming, identifying and responding to need effectively, and how to ensure your capacity and resources can put your idea into practice.
- Project sustainability in collaboration with Sustainable Theatres Australia, focused on how to build environmental care into your idea from its outset.
- Financial strategy and planning, including brainstorming and feedback on grant applications.
- Assistance in developing and undertaking a prototype session to road-test your idea.

This EOI has a rolling intake up until the first THINKING GROUND session (Fri 27 Feb). We will have conversations as we receive these expressions of interest, rather than causing undue stress with a hard deadline or competitive framework.
