TINKERTOWN is a black comedy. Its setting is the grit of stark realism, where the problems that confront the average man, and his average daughter, are seen in less than average circumstances.

Shooting, kidnapping, running away, shooting, cheap dirty speedballs, jukeboxes, dancing, coked-out sex, alcoholism, stabbing, shooting, lusting, fields by a highway, running away, a carpark, robbery, service stations, passing out, hotel rooms, a salt lake, and a swarm of flies. Moncrieff is a Western Australian and the script’s sizzling dialogue features amid golden sunsets and dry, dusty and oppressive settings. Of course, in a way, that’s just the backdrop whilst a man and his daughter and their efforts to survive, on the lamb, are the focus.
