Greg’s tight-knit social circle is thrown into turmoil when an off hand remark about a female co-worker’s pretty face gets back to his girlfriend. When Greg’s best friend and his wife also enter the picture, the emotional equation becomes exponentially more complicated.

As their relationships crumble, four friends are forced to confront a sea of deceit, infidelity, and betrayed trust on their quest to answer the all-important question: “How much is pretty worth?”

"LaBute has exchanged misanthropy for empathy, reaping unexpected dividends ... some of the freshest and most illuminating American dialogue to be heard anywhere."
