The Persecution and Assassination of Jean Paul Marat as performed by the inmates of The Asylum of Charenton under the direction of the Marquis de Sade.
Set in the bath hall of a French asylum in 1808, the shocking murder of French revolutionary Jean-Paul Marat by fellow revolutionary Corday is told in a play within a play, through the inmates of the asylum under de Sade’s cool direction.
