FERAL QUEER CAMP invites you to join us for a lively roundtable discussion where we will explore what is current in queer performance and directly ask the makers and thinkers what queer does for them and what they do with it. Queer performance holds an important place in queer life, sustaining itself despite all sorts of challenges. We consider what this continuing presence means for how we make, think, study, read and speak about queer performance and, in the context of a queer performance festival, we will discuss its shifts over recent years and ask where it needs to go next.
The discussion will include time for questions from the audience.
This is a free event supported by VCA/University of Melbourne, Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and a Creativity and Wellbeing Research Grant (Uni Melbourne).
