Glamour meets grotesquery in this colourful and confusing dreamscape of unsettling creations, hatched fresh from the minds of cabaret deviant Six Inches Uncut and burlesque provocateur Ira Luxuria.
Welcome to BIRDOIR, a surreal escape where world-weary lounge singers warble from the confines of dirty cages, decrepit fowl ruffle what remains of their threadbare plumage and your hummingbird heart flits between moments of delight and disgust.
Featuring a fierce flock of Melbourne’s finest cabaret, burlesque, dance and comedy performers, BIRDOIR focuses a thickly Vaseline’d lens on the messy and mesmerising oddities of all things avian.
It’s high-glamour cabaret, performed by a troupe of hideous human-bird hybrid freaks!
