Follow along in the choose-your-own-adventure style parody production from GEEK OUT! Nerdlesque, where the audience plays an active role in the story! 4 Actors, 2 Drag Artists and a pocket full of Burlesque creatures all come together for a night of scripted (and a little bit of not so scripted) comedy! With featured Poké-performances from critically acclaimed and award-winning drag and burlesque artists. You’re bound to come across more than a few Onix-pected surprises along the way.
It's time to relive, and perhaps ruin, our childhoods with the totally camp, totally ridiculous cabaret comedy, POKÉLESQUE!

MEET THE ARTIST
ROSIE ROULETTE
Rosie is a multi award-winning, kiwi born artist with a background in classical music, opera and musical theatre. Some of their award highlights include awards in acting (PACANZ Young Performer of the Year), singing (Fast Track Singing Showcase Open Division Winner) and burlesque (reigning Australian Psychobilly Queen). After graduating from the National Academy of Singing and Dramatic Art (NASDA) they performed professionally throughout Aotearoa, NZ before moving to Melbourne in 2014. As an actor/singer/performer they have worked for Disney, Nintendo Australia, Universal Studios and more over the past 10 years alongside their career in burlesque, drag and as a cabaret producer. A dedicated nerd and disability advocate, they have produced many shows under the GEEK OUT! banner since 2017, as well as their disability and chronic illness showcase, The Chronic Cabaret. As a writer, POKÉLESQUE follows their previously successful parody production FANTASTIC BREASTS (And Where To Find Them) which sold out at Melbourne Fringe in 2019. Rosie brings a wealth of experience as well as heart, queer joy and many, many Pokémon puns to this silly show.
