Enter a space caught in a cross-hairs: halfway between your bedroom-floor at 3am and an otherworldly limbo. Here, inside a field of laundry, explosive choreography combusts as an army of dancers explore the dreams, the nightmares, the tremble and the limits of the female experience.
Sex, consent, violence and empowerment crash-tackle together in a full-femme-full-bodied conversation where the agenda is Equality, Ownership and Individuality.
Straight from a smash hit season at Edinburgh Fringe, this is raw, visceral confessional powerful dance from one of Queenslands’s most prolific award-winning dance-theatre artists. Angel Monster is a portrait, a requiem and a call to arms for angels and monsters alike.

On Wed 21st Feb, from 5-6pm at Theatre Works, Angel Monster Choreographer and Company Dancers are offering a free masterclass. You will learn repertoire from the show and be led through choreographic processes relevant to the works creation. Open to all who are interested. Details below in the "Extras" section.

Nerida Matthaei
The team is led by founder and artistic director Nerida Matthaei. Nerida is the integral life-force of the company’s programs and vision. Nerida Matthaei is an award-winning choreographer, performer and sought-after collaborator across the dance and performance sectors internationally. Recent highlights include a critically acclaimed season at Edinburgh Fringe Festival, development of Bottari with Sadari Movement Lab in Korea, and the creation of box office hit Boy Swallows Universe.
