In response to the unfolding health situation, Theatre Works and Salty Theatre have made the difficult but necessary decision to postpone Voldemort and the Teenage Hogwarts Musical Parody as a precautionary measure against the spread of COVID-19.

These are difficult and incredibly complex times and it is with a heavy heart that we have made this decision – but the safety of all the people we work with and welcome to our theatre is our number one priority and we look forward to presenting Voldemort and the Teenage Hogwarts later this year.

The performances running from 1- 25 April have been cancelled.

The new season dates are 19 August – 12 September here at Theatre Works, 14 Acland Street, St Kilda.

Ticket holders, you will have the option of receiving a full refund or holding your tickets until the August / September season by filling out the form here:

You can also choose to donate the cost of your ticket to the artists. Theatre Works will pass the full value of your ticket (less the $2.50 booking fee) to the “Voldemort” team. This act of generosity will help the artists get through this unprecedented time and ensure they will be able to continue to create and present this work later in the year.

If you would like to hold your tickets, we will get in touch personally to organise your exchange.

We apologise for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience and understanding during this time.

If you are able and want to help support our artists and arts workers that are the lifeblood of our theatre, please consider donating what you can.

Before Voldemort was He Who Must Not Be Named, he was just Tom Riddle, another moody teen that couldn’t talk to girls. Join Tom and his Hogwarts classmates on a hilarious musical adventure packed with magic, hormones and more than a few murders. This is a Harry Potter musical parody that is sure to leave you spellbound!

After two hugely successful back-to-back seasons at The Edinburgh Fringe and The King’s Head in London, VOLDEMORT AND THE TEENAGE HOGWARTS MUSICAL PARODY is being introduced to Australian audiences for the first time ever by Salty Theatre, Red Hot Productions and Theatre Works.
