A bristling jet-black comedy, “a cross between Dylan Thomas and Steven Berkoff” a prize-winner in the 2003 Monash Nation-Wide Playwrights’ Competition directed by Yvonne Virsik with Jason Lehane.

Dolores Millwicker returns to her hometown, a drought-wracked wasteland, after a twenty year absence, and is greeted with hostility by her old friends and family: an introverted gay bachelor, an overbearing zealot who eavesdrops in the church confession booth, two brutish farmers who pit their paint-sniffing sons against each other in a football match, and a painfully timid woman who dreams of a better life as a Galapagos tortoise!
