Following on the heels of their hallucinatory reworking of Orlando for last year’s Festival program, The Rabble return with an even bolder, more ambitious reimagining – transforming one of Wilde’s most famous works into an immersive, participatory journey to the darkened core of vanity.

Taking place in a purpose-built, labyrinthine network of shadowy corridors, mirrored passages and disquieting viewing chambers, Room of Regret sees Dorian Gray’s story played out through a provocative and visceral melding of performance, art, installation and experience.

From room to room, the enigmatic Dorian flickers and shifts: between male and female, duplicitous and honest, monster and man. But mirrors never lie; though we may not always recognise the phantasms lurking in their depths.
