For one week, when Autumn meets Winter, the Theatre Works building and grounds will be overrun by the fourteen She Writes writers, as theatre makers meet audiences to intimately discuss the radical act of playwriting and these uproarious, heart-wrenching, explosive, political, poetic and exhilarating new works in a series of readings and dialogues. It will be the event to warm your winter so don’t miss it.
About Radical ACts
Radical Acts (24th May – 4th June) is a new two-week writing festival where our resident She Writes playwrights overtake the Theatre Works grounds, share excerpts from their new works with audiences, stretch their ideas with visiting artists, and discuss ‘where to’ with industry guests.
The first week of the festival will feature one-on-one development and dramaturgy sessions. Half-way through the festival audiences are invited to attend a weekend of readings and listen to the writers in-conversation discuss their work and approaches.
The second week is industry-pathways week, with craft development workshops, ”Ask Me Anything” speed-dating sessions and “What Next?!” roundtable.
Come along to the weekend readings with professional actors where you get to hear the new voices of theatre.
