Dear supporters, artists and friends of Theatre Works,
The health and safety of our audiences, creatives and staff is of the utmost importance.
We’re paying close attention to any updates from the Australian Government Department of Health on the coronavirus (COVID-19) and will follow advice given by Live Performance Australia (LPA), the national peak body for the live performance industry.
However the WellBless team has made the decision to postpone their season, cancelling their upcoming performances over the next two weeks. We stand by and support the artists in this decision and will be in touch with ticket holders shortly to organise refunds or exchanges for later in the year.
Theatre Works is a 144 seat local theatre which operates under very different circumstances to larger venues and some of the high-profile closures you may have read about this week.
If recommendations change and we need to postpone or cancel a run we will inform you immediately by email and phone.
At the theatre, we’re taking additional precautions including increased frequency of cleaning by professional cleaners, new pre and post-show routines to sanitise shared surfaces, making hand sanitiser available for all patrons and staff and ensuring our staff continue to follow Department of Health guidelines.
We’d be very grateful if you’d help keep the theatre safe for everybody by practicing enhanced hand washing and taking other recommended control measures when you visit and please do stay at home if you’re unwell or have travelled to or had contact with someone returning from a high risk area.
Ticket exchanges are available in accordance with Theatre Works’ ticketing terms and conditions. If you are requesting an exchange or refund based on medical advice that you should be isolated at this time, please cite this reason and provide a doctor’s note to support your return request to the Box Office.
Thank you for your support and if you have any further questions at all, please contact our box office on (03) 9534 3388 or email@example.com
